REVIEW: Rough Ride by Kristen Ashley
Rosalie Holloway put it all on the line for the Chaos Motorcycle Club.
Informing to Chaos on their rival club—her man’s club, Bounty—Rosalie knows the stakes. And she pays them when her man, who she was hoping to scare straight, finds out she’s betrayed him and he delivers her to his brothers to mete out their form of justice.
But really, Rosie has long been denying that, as she drifted away from her Bounty, she’s been falling in love with Everett “Snapper” Kavanagh, a Chaos brother. Snap is the biker-boy-next door with the snowy blue eyes, quiet confidence and sweet disposition who was supposed to keep her safe... and fell down on that job.
For Snapper, it’s always been Rosalie, from the first time he saw her at the Chaos Compound. He’s just been waiting for a clear shot. But he didn’t want to get it after his Rosie was left bleeding, beat down and broken by Bounty on a cement warehouse floor.
With Rosalie a casualty of an ongoing war, Snapper has to guide her to trust him, take a shot with him, build a them...
And fold his woman firmly in the family that is Chaos.

EXCERPT
“We got it now. You’re good. Gonna take care of you.”
No they weren’t.
He wasn’t.
No one was going to take care of me.
But me.
Not anymore.
They were supposed to do that before.
And now I was on a cement floor, beat to hell.
But I was going to be.
Good that was.
Yes, I was going to be.
Finally.
And it was going to be me that made me that too.
I turned my face into Snap’s cut as an indication he shouldn’t stroke my hair anymore, as a way to tell him to get the heck away from me, to leave me to the ambulance, to leave me alone, to get out of my hair, out of there, out of my life.
But the fabric snagged my swollen nose and a whimper slid from me.
“Baby,” he whispered, feeling close, seemingly all around me, “just hang tight. Don’t move. Help will be here soon.”
Help would be there soon.
I’d be in an ambulance.
Then I’d be in a hospital.
While there, I’d talk to the police.
Eventually, I’d go home and live in fear of what my boyfriend’s motorcycle club would do to me after I pressed charges against them for beating the crap out of me.
What could be worse than this?
I didn’t know.
MY RATINGS
★★★★
★★★★
I used to wonder what happened to Rosalie after reading Own the
Wind. I used to tell myself it’s because I really wanted her to have her own
story.
I felt that she was such a good character and that she too deserves a
happy ending. It was kind of sad to see that she was so hooked up on
her feelings for Shy and that he didn't give her any second thought when he dumped her for Tab. It was hard for me to see her with someone
else after that but when I got my hands on this book I literally do not know how I would
feel.
Let me just start by saying that Ms. Ashley delivered this book very well.
I started enjoying the book and got quite intrigued from page 1. Even though it
was a little bit shorter than most of Ms. Ashley’s books, I actually got a hang
of this one.
The book started with Rosalie brutally got beaten up and ended in the hospital with purple-black bruises, broken ribs, scrapes, cuts, and a broken heart. She put her life on the line and in return it back fired. After everything she had sacrificed it all went to nothing. So she decided then and there she was done. Done with men, done with Chaos, but then, Snapper, one of the brothers, is far from being done with her.
I find it understandable that Rosalie had some type of
issues that she needs to resolve on her own specially on what happened to her. It was hard for her to find that certain someone to fill the gap of yearning from her father. She was looking for the right man who would make her feel loved.
At first she found those in Shy, he showed her a window to that world she desperately wanted but knowing that didn't end well when Shy dropped her like a hot brick without a second glance.
Then along came Beck, she also went into deep with him, probably because they both belonged to a motorcycle club and that they look exactly alike. Unfortunately, that didn't end well with him too, with her beaten up and ended in the hospital.
This then lead us to Snapper. Now, he is the kind of man who never backs down on a challenge. I was happy that Snapper didn’t give
up on her and have proven himself even from the beginning that he's worthy of her love.
Their relationship is somewhat intriguing, having a mix of drama and a little bit of action.
“If you care about someone, it’s not about going that extra mile.
It’s about giving everything.”
Here is a little teaser trailer of the book to indulge your mind..
You'll understand more when you read this book.
Also, there is a surprise sneak peak at the end of the book.
Don't miss it!
I can't wait for the new book release!

REVIEW: Complicated by Kristen Ashley
When small town Nebraska sheriff Hixon Drake meets Greta
Dare, the connection couldn’t be stronger, but the timing couldn’t be worse.
Dealing with the fallout of a divorce he never wanted and
setting up a new home for his kids, Hix becomes that guy, that one he never
wanted to be, and puts a stop to things before they can even start. Protecting his
kids, and himself, is his only priority.
Greta, on the other hand, has found the place for her and the
brother she adores that’s perfect for them—a sleepy little town in Nebraska.
She’s learned from life that there are no hopes and dreams. The only thing to
look forward to is peace. And that’s what she works hard to build for herself
and her brother. Right up until Hix walks into her life.
Hix can’t fight the pull and stay away from Greta for long.
And Greta’s finding it hard not to hope for something more with all the promise
that is Hix.
But when the first murder that’s happened in over five
decades rocks his small, sleepy county, Hix has got to learn to trust again,
convince Greta to take a shot with him, and at the same time catch a killer.
In other words, things are definitely…Complicated.
★★★★★
Both Greta and Hixon have past loving relationships that went wrong and in some ways, their war wounds help them to move on together.
Greta’s mum is an evil woman that had me squinting and scowling more than once and Hixon’s ex is a piece of work for more than half of the story. While both have burdens to bear with their ugly relationships, they also have magic in the form of Greta’s brother Andy and Hixon’s wonderful kids.
Complicated is set in a small town where everyone knows your name. I loved the setting of the story. It’s a mostly peaceful town that is rocked by the murder of a much-loved husband and father. Tracking down the murderer is the top priority for Hixon and his deputies.
Poor Hixon, scraping off the old love, starting a new love, keeping the peace with his kids, dealing with his new loves psycho mum and finding a killer…only a KA Alpha can handle that. Greta, well she’s got to get a new man up to scratch, steer clear of his ex, deal with her psycho mum, work, and make time for her brother who suffered a head trauma when he was a teenager…only a KA sweet and slightly quirky heroine can handle that.

Being a devout Kristen Ashley fan,
there is nothing bad I can say about this book. I was surprised that it was
released in audiobooks only but that didn't stop me from getting to it and
thoroughly enjoying it. I just lay back and let myself get immersed in the book
and it was really wonderful.
KA has a unique way of creating
characters that reel you in and make you feel a part of them, they are so
relevant that you can't stop until you are finished and that is what happened
with this book . Hixon is the town sheriff that is trying to come to terms with
his new lot in life, being a divorced father of three, something he never saw
coming. Greta is a likable hairdresser who sings on the side to fulfill that
sassy side of her and make some extra cash. The two meet and connect and sparks
fly, neither knowing how to deal with them.
What's interesting is the small town
life has that everyone knows everyone, including their business, and the
gossips are going strong. There are dangers lurking everywhere and KA has woven
the story spectacularly in a sweet flow. Great listen that I know I will go
back to again and again!
Hixon and Greta’s love story is not an easy one. In typical KA fashion,
there are ups and downs, with sideswipes in-between. I admit, there were a few
tears shed on the train as we see them come to blows, face blows from outside
forces, and witness blows that shake the town.

REVIEW: Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley
Jet McAlister has a
secret. Eddie Chavez has the hots for Jet (not to mention Eddie’s just plain
hot). Jet has too many problems to realize that Eddie’s interested. Eddie loses
patience when Jet ends her waitressing shift at a strip club with a knife at
her throat. Since Eddie’s a cop, he figures he can help. Since Jet’s used to
solving everyone’s problems she doesn’t want Eddie’s help.
Throw in a Dolly Parton look-alike, a gruff but lovable strip
club owner, Jet’s ne’er do well father, his ne’er do well friend, Bear, Bear’s
long-suffering, chain-smoking wife Lavonne and the crew from Rock Chick and
you’ve got Rock Chick Rescue.
Rock Chick Rescue takes you on a wild ride with Jet, Eddie and
the gang as they wrestle bad guys in a bagel shop, hit Denver’s backstreet
poker tables (with big hair), and help the strippers at Smithie’s take down a
would-be murderer.
Through this, Jet’s got to learn that even when life made you
give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie’s got to
rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her
that some dreams can come true.
★★★★★
I get ahead of myself. Rock Chick
Rescue is the story of Jet and Eddie. We met them previously in the first book
Rock Chick, where we learned Eddie was holding a torch for Indy and she chose
Lee. Jet was more brief, but a quiet addition to the characters near the end of
the book.
Jet works two jobs to help support her mother who had a
stroke less than a year ago. From the moment she laid eyes on Eddie she had a
huge crush on him, but she just isn't able to talk to hot guys. When Jet's dad
comes back into town bringing trouble into her life, Jet's secrets come out and
Eddie and her coworkers and friends step up to help her out.
Anyways, I normally don't enjoy
Cinderella stories, but I really enjoyed this one. Mostly because Jet didn't
lie down and expect Eddie to do everything for her, she really was self
sufficient and worked hard for everything that came her way. Eddie was amazing,
he's one of the better KA alpha heroes because he helped out Jet but he also
gave her room to help herself.
One criticism..... this book constantly referred to Jet's
lady parts as her "doo-da" and I had to put the book down when
reading it because I can't even with that name. It was so awful.
This book just like the first also had me literally chuckling
and laughing out loud while reading it. I think it's probably the funniest of
Ashley's series and I cannot wait to read more as my book friends have said
they get better and better as it goes on.
Lots and lots of laughs! Laugh so
much my stomach hurt! Let me be perfectly clear this book gets four stars
strictly due to it supporting cast of characters. I loved all the secondary
characters. Not sure how it happened. AGAIN! All the secondary characters
shined just as bright as the main two characters. That seems to be a perk with
Kristen Ashley books and I do love reaping the benefits of it.
Jet and Eddie are muy caliente (very hot)
I enjoyed every second of their romance.
In honesty I was not sure I would like this book after
reading some of the reviews by my Goodreads friends. I was wrong. I loved it!
Whenever Jet pissed me off a scene with the other characters made up for it.
And yes, she pissed me off often. But between Smithie, Tex, Ada and Daisy I
found myself very much entertained.

No one had ever looked at her and seen perfection—until now.
Delicate, titian-haired Theresa Noble has met her father’s associates in the past, but the gorgeous, Italian-born Sandro De Lucci leaves her speechless. Eighteen months into their marriage, however, Sandro has turned to ice. Desperate to escape a relationship that has proven to be as stubbornly passionate as it is cold and hateful, Theresa summons up the courage to ask for a divorce. The stalemate sickens her. Never mind that Sandro has yet to introduce Theresa to the large family that means so much to him. Or that Theresa overhears her husband on the phone with a mystery woman. REVIEW: Rock Chick Reawakening by Kristen Ashley

From New York Times bestselling author, Kristen Ashley, comes
the long-awaited story of Daisy and Marcus, Rock Chick Reawakening.
A prequel to Kristen’s Rock Chick series, Rock Chick Reawakening shares the tale of the devastating event that nearly broke Daisy, an event that set Marcus Sloane—one of Denver’s most respected businessmen and one of the Denver underground’s most feared crime bosses—into finally making his move to win the heart of the woman who stole his.
★★★★★
Kristen Ashley Gave us Greatness that
I always knew she had. This book gives us Daisy's and Marcus's story right from
the start.... Ladies their story will shatter you. You will be utterly broken,
there were times I sobbed, moments there was a lump in my throat constantly
through some chapters.
I am so glad that I got the chance to
read this beautiful novella from Kristen Ashley. Daisy and Marcus's story is
one we have had little bits about, but this is the whole shebang. I loved Daisy
in the RC series before, and now I love her even more. You see how she grew to
be the woman we love and who she becomes after the series. LOVED IT.
Daisy's life was the kind of story you hear that makes you
red with anger against the people who ere suppose to be protectors in her life.
It also makes you sad. But in the end, she made it out. Daisy made her way to
CO and became that exotic and sparkly woman we all adore.
Marcus is a different man then you think. This novel gives
you such a glimpse into him that you fall as in love with him as you did with
all the others from Kristen. Marcus is a man that knows what he wants and how
to get it. Better yet, he knows how to do it with finesse.
When he finally gets to take his chance with Daisy, she is
already out of his reach. Marcus must take all the right steps and in a way
that wont chase the one woman away that he knows is going to be his future.
Daisy has to do things her way. She has a plan for this and
ain't no man going to change that. For the better or the worse. Well, no man
but Marcus. He is going to help her heal and move on with or without her
permission. This love story is something that is
so damn Beautiful you just wish it was made into movie. Ah. Okay.
Don't miss this novel. It was absolutely
beautiful and healing and HOT. I loved it and in the end I felt complete. The
series felt complete. absolute beauty.

GENRE: HARLEQUIN ROMANCE
PUBLISHED: APRIL 20 2015
Mistress. It sounded so sordid, so impersonal, so far removed from the kind of relationship Marley Jameson had with Greek hotel magnate Chrysander Anetakis. Until it all came crashing down around them.
Three months later, Marley awakened in the hospital with no memory of what happened before she got there. She couldn’t remember her past, Chrysander…or the baby she carried. All she knew was that when Chrysander showed up and whisked her away to his private Greek island, being with him felt like home.
Until she remembered the truth…
